‘Luka, doe eens normaal!’ is a heartwarming story about Luka, a sloth with ADHD.

Women often face burnout before getting an ADHD diagnosis. Symptoms in girls are often missed because they focus on those typically seen in boys. This can make adult girls feel like they aren’t normal, insecure or even depressed. Luka, the ADHD sloth, shines a light on the idea that “normal” may not exist…

Through Luka’s story, children with or without ADHD, along with their teachers, parents, caregivers, and other readers, discover that everyone is unique and has their own strengths.

The story wrapped in a picture book teaches kids to embrace who they are, and perhaps even more importantly, offers insights to the adults reading the story to them. You can buy the book here.
